Shopify Enlists Microsoft, Oracle for Business Tools on App

Reuters

“Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify Inc (SHOP.TO) is teaming up with top cloud companies including Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) and Oracle Corp (ORCL.N) to help merchants streamline their business operations. Business owners on the platform can now access Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle NetSuite and Infor on the Shopify app. Earlier, they had to rely on third-party applications to connect to Shopify their ERP tools ranging from financial trackers to inventory management systems.”

SAP Forms Financial Services Alliance With Investor Dediq

Reuters

“Business software group SAP (SAPG.DE) said on Tuesday it was forming a joint venture with Munich-based investor Dediq to develop new digital solutions for banking and insurance. Under the deal, Dediq will invest more than 500 million euros ($595 million) in developing premium products for financial services while SAP will contribute intellectual property in return for a 20% stake.”

“A new Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) and IBM (NYSE: IBM) have signed an 8-year, multi-million dollar agreement to digitally transform and modernize credit union payment services in Canada. This marks the largest agreement of its kind in Canada for the credit union system. The new joint venture between the Credit Union Centrals of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba collectively represent more than 75 credit unions across the three prairie provinces.”
