Wero for Merchants: A New European Payment Solution for E-commerce

"Wero is entering a new phase of its development with Wero for Merchants, a European payment solution designed for e-commerce. To support this launch in France and Europe, BNP Paribas organized a press conference in Paris on September 8, 2026, which Fnac Darty joined alongside Wero and other major corporations. The Group will roll out Wero for Merchants on fnac.com in early 2027, before gradually extending it to physical stores and its other European markets."

New Payment App Launches on 1 September in Luxembourg

"The new European digital payment app Wero will replace Payconiq from 1 September, offering more functionality. First it was Digicash, then Payconiq, and now Wero. The new digital payment system was due to launch in Luxembourg in July, but the date was pushed back to 1 September. From 1 September, customers of the participating banks – Spuerkeess, Raiffeisen, Post, BGL BNP Paribas and BIL – will be asked to download the Wero application and connect their bank account."
