What Was He Thinking? Robber Uses His Debit Card in Middle of Robbery!

I had a good chuckle at this morning’s news report from WSAZ-TV, Channel 3, in Charleston, West Virginia:

A man from Charleston faces charges after police say he used his debit card during a robbery. [Name deleted] is accused of trying to rob the Certified Station in Sissonville on Monday.

Police say during the robbery, he bought a soft drink, swiped his debit card to pay for it and signed the receipt as “John Doe.” Police were able to track Lester down through his bank records. He told police he was just joking about robbing the store.

“Think of it as money…” as we used to say at Visa!
