Forte Speaks! Exploring the Intersection of Social Networks and Payments (Nov 3-4 Boston)

Erin McCune

September 29, 2008

I'm speaking at the upcoming NEACH Payment Insights conference November 3-4 just outside Boston. My topic explores the intersection of social networking and payments:

Should There Be A Social Network in Your Payments Future?

What do social networks such as MySpace and Facebook have to do with banking and payments? What are Wasabe and Mint and why should you care? This session will introduce social networks, explore how social networking and personal finance are intersecting online, and reveal what early-adopter banks and credit unions are already doing in this space.

Key take aways include: why social networking is a phenomenon banks and credit unions cannot afford to let pass by, and how you can take advantage of this emerging channel as a means to retain relevance with younger demographics.
