"Visa, Mastercard, and Fiserv recently joined the Agentic Payments Alliance (APA), a coalition assembled by the stablecoin infrastructure company Rain to establish rules for agentic AI commerce. The APA consists of 26 companies. In addition to Visa, Mastercard, and Fiserv, its other founding members include Circle, the Solana Foundation, and Remitly. The APA's core goal is to establish shared industry standards for how autonomous AI agents manage their digital identities, process user loyalty programs, and detect fraud."
