I'm proud to be co-chair of the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco 2008 Scholarship.  I never cease to be amazed by the women we interview – by their ambition, drive, compassion, and enthusiasm for finance. The deadline crept up on me, otherwise I would have posted this sooner. But if you know any talented women studying finance/accounting at a Bay Area college or university it's not too late to apply.

2008 Scholarship

The Financial Women's Association of San Francisco Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for San Francisco Bay Area women studying in the areas of finance or financial services. An affiliation with the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco provides scholarship recipients the opportunity to meet potential mentors and network with successful finance professionals while attending both learning and socially-oriented functions.

In 2007, we awarded a total of 12 scholarships. Under-graduates received $5,000 each and graduate students $10,000 each for a total of $90,000.

Funds for these scholarships are primary generated through an annual Financial Woman of the Year award lunch which is sponsored by leading corporations and individuals throughout the
