Both Simon and Joanna have made significant contributions to Glenbrook during their time with the firm, bringing deep expertise in payments, strategy and financial services. Their promotions recognize not only their outstanding work but also their leadership and dedication to advancing the payments industry.
Simon Skinner joined Glenbrook in the San Francisco Bay Area two years ago and has been serving a range of payments providers, merchants, software platforms and investors on matters of strategy, operations and organization. He came to Glenbrook after a distinguished career at Barclays Bank (UK) where he served as Head of Retail Payment Product Management, overseeing a portfolio of domestic and cross-border offerings. He also served as Head of Transformation Planning at Barclays during a major transformation of its retail banking strategy and operations. Prior to his time at Barclays, Simon worked as a consultant with L.E.K. in London, conducting strategy and operational effectiveness projects on behalf of a range of corporate and private equity clients.
Joanna Wisniecka has been with Glenbrook in Denver for the past three years, focusing on her passion for driving financial inclusion and inclusive payments infrastructure development across a range of developing economies. Previously, she worked at a large commercial bank in Myanmar to build its transaction banking team and lead a United Nations-funded financial inclusion program. Earlier in her career, Joanna spent 14 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in a variety of roles in banking supervision, payments policy, and financial services, including serving as Payments Product Manager and Officer for the Fedwire Funds Service.
Please join us in congratulating Simon and Joanna on these well-deserved promotions.
