This workshop is designed for payments professionals who want to come up to speed quickly on digital currency essentials. After exploring key concepts and new stakeholders, current economic models emerging for crypto, stable and CBDCs are examined to understand how these new systems may impact the payments ecosystem and someday reshape everything from the six payments domains to our global economy.

This workshop is designed to explore the behind-the-scenes working of the embedded commerce phenomena. Join us as we outline all the different card acceptance alternatives and take a deep look at the world of payments facilitation. We will also walk through the payment aspects of the various embedded commerce use cases such as integrated payments, contextual commerce, and conversational commerce among others. As part of this journey, we will shine a spotlight on different payment solutions from Amazon Pay, Braintree, Meta Pay, and Stripe.

This workshop looks beyond the Payments Boot Camp to explore leading edge topics in digital payments, fast payments, digital currency, and global payments. In digital payments we’ll look at the tradeoffs between NFC and QR Codes, EMVCo tokenization, and the rise of the Super App.
