Wireless card payment for mobile services and vendors

Growing use of mag stripe swipe-equipped wireless cell phones and PDAs enables credit and debit card payment for mobile service providors and vendors. You may have already experienced this returning rental cars and in some restaurnts (particularly in Europe); the article descibes a golf instructor taking payment via credit card with her Blackberry.

For small merchants that typically call in their payments the new wireless methodlogy allows access to lower interchange fees for swiped transactions.The investment is relatively small – as little as $200-250.

Soon you may be buying those organic peaches at the Farmers Market with your credit card.
