Announcing B2B Payments Workshop (March 4-5, 2008)

The conversion of B2B payments from paper to electronic is finally gaining momentum. Key industry players (MasterCard, American Express, JP Morgan Chase and others) are launching new products aimed squarely at the stubborn paper based B2B transaction volume. New uses of the ACH network and efforts to add remittance data to support wire transfers are contributing to the B2B buzz.

Forte Financial is pleased to partner with Glenbrook to offer a two-day comprehensive workshop devoted to business-to-business (B2B) payments. We’ll be addressing key questions such as

  • How fast will B2B payments move to electronics?  What key forces are driving the accelerating pace of conversion?
  • We’ll help you navigate the maze of B2B solutions: What is Xign and why did JPMorgan chase buy it? What is the MasterCard Payment Gateway? How is AmEx leveraging its acquisition of Harbor Payments? How is the ACH network addressing B2B payments? What are leading ERP vendors doing to facilitate B2B payments?
  • Which will be the “winning solutions”?  Are card based solutions and ACH based solutions competing – or are they targeting different kinds of payments?
  • Are order-to-cash (seller) and procure-to-pay (buyer) needs handled equally well by the solutions on the market today? What is a supplier network – and why is it important?

I will be teaching the course with Carol Coye Benson, a founding Glenbrook partner. This special focus B2B workshop is as intense and thorough as Glenbrook’s signature Payments Boot Camp (if you haven’t attended the Glenbrook payments boot camp you should).
