Scott is a founder of Glenbrook.  He has focused his work at Glenbrook on payments innovation, mobile payments, and social media / Web 2.0 in banking and financial services.

Scott has more than 30 years’ experience in information technology — as a technologist, senior executive, board member, venture investor, consultant, advisor, and mentor.

Earlier, Scott was group executive vice president at First Data Merchant Services. Scott also was group executive vice president at Visa International, where he led the development of Visa’s global payment systems strategies, including Visa’s research and development initiatives related to card payments, Internet payments and advanced card technologies.

Scott began his career as a systems engineer with IBM where he held a series of technical management and product planning positions over the course of seventeen years.

Scott is co-author of the book, “Payments Systems in the U.S.”

Scott was co-inventor of US Patent 6,332,126 and US Patent 7,840,459.

Scott formally retired from Glenbrook in October 2016, but remains an important friend and advisor to the firm.
