Sean Werkema comes to Glenbrook with a background in economic research, a passion for working with clients, and interests in the ever-evolving payments industry.
Sean earned his bachelor’s degree at Santa Clara, studying Political Science and Economics. At Santa Clara, Sean worked extensively with the Political Science department on research centered on improving conditions in developing countries. This experience, combined with formative study in money, and banking, and international economics, cemented his interest in payments.
Sean focuses on qualitative and quantitative economic data analysis as well as data visualization. His specific interests in payments involve the developing P2P payments space, cryptocurrencies and the broader potential of blockchain, payment systems in developing countries, and Faster Payments in the U.S.
