Advanced Workshops
Advanced Payments – March 30, 2023 – New York

$1,395
There are three major trends in today’s global payments industry. Payment systems are going digital. Bank transfers systems are moving to real-time clearing and settlement. And the global payments landscape is shrinking and becoming more interconnected.
This workshop looks beyond the Payments Boot Camp to explore leading edge topics in digital payments, fast payments, and global payments. In digital payments we’ll look at the tradeoffs between NFC and QR Codes, EMVCo tokenization, and the rise of the Super App. In Fast Payments we’ll move beyond the basics to explore the rise of overlay services and Request to Pay (RTP). We’ll look at Fast Payments in the US, supplemented with a look at the success of the Pix system in Brazil and the UPI system in India. The workshop finishes with a detailed look at important domestic success stories around the world, the surprising uptake of the SWIFT gpi service, and the global movement towards interconnected Fast Payments systems.
