Emerging Payments: the Advanced Course

This workshop provides a comprehensive, "advanced" view of new developments in emerging payments - with a focus on four key themes that we at Glenbrook have been following closely:

• The Contest for DDA Access
• Using Payments to Drive Increased Sales for Merchants
• The End of the Traditional Four Box Model
• Mobile Payments - Beyond the Hype

We will explain and evaluate new players, products and trends - relating each of the themes to developments within the five major "payments domains": the Point of Sale, eCommerce, Bill Payment, B2B and P2P.

eB2B Payments at the Tipping Point

This intensive two-day workshop explores the world of business to business payments, where today three quarters of all supplier payments are still made by check, despite multiple alternatives available.

Understanding the “why” of this demands an appreciation of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable environment in the enterprise, the politics and realities of big enterprise/small enterprise interaction, and the dominating influence of the value of money, expressed in the timing of payments, the management of discounts, and the use of financing and investment options.

During the course of this two day workshop, we will explain the environment, discuss how payments are being made currently, and evaluate the many ACH, wire, and card based alternatives to checks now in use or being developed.

Fees

The fee for our Payments Workshops varies depending upon the length of the event and the venue. See our Fee Schedule for details. Early registration and corporate multiple attendee discounts are also available. Alumni of Glenbrook's Payments Boot Camps also qualify for special discounts to our Payments Workshops.

Fees include the workshop itself and a continental breakfast. For full day workshops, lunch is also included. Participants also receive handout copies of all of the presentation materials used in the workshop.
