Glenbrook regularly hosts Payments Workshops on topics of interest to our clients and our Payments Boot Camp alumni. Join us at one of our next scheduled events!
This intensive two-day workshop explores the world of business to business payments, where today three quarters of all supplier payments are still made by check, despite multiple alternatives available.
Understanding the “why” of this demands an appreciation of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable environment in the enterprise, the politics and realities of big enterprise/small enterprise interaction, and the dominating influence of the value of money, expressed in the timing of payments, the management of discounts, and the use of financing and investment options.
During the course of this two day workshop, we will explain the environment, discuss how payments are being made currently, and evaluate the many ACH, wire, and card based alternatives to checks now in use or being developed.
Who Should Take This Course?
Our workshop is just the way you'd want it—very intense. You'll be taught by two Glenbrook team members - seasoned veterans of the industry who have "been there, done that" in senior operating roles in the payments industry. Classes range in size from 30 to 45 and are structured to ensure there is plenty of time for interactive Q&A - both during the sessions and during breaks.
You'll leave with an understanding of the "big picture" of payments and new insights into the key drivers and most important trends affecting the industry. You'll also receive a binder with a copy of all of our boot camp presentations—a valuable reference resource.
How Much Does It Cost?
Workshop Fees are $1,195 per seat or $1,095 if registered before April 27th, 2009. Multiple seat discounts per company are also available - see the Fee Schedule for more information.
Fees include the workshop, and continental breakfast and lunch on both days. At the end of the first day, we hold a complimentary networking reception (with snacks, beer, and wine provided) to allow you to interact with the other attendees and instructors. You'll also receive handout copies of all presentation materials. Hotel accommodations are not included; see the workshop registration page for information about recommended hotels.
